Choose Your Own Number
When you switch to ACN Digital Phone Service, you can keep
your current phone number! Simply enter your phone number during
the sign-up process, and complete the registration process.
Note: Wireless and Toll Free numbers cannot be transferred.
Factors that may prevent your phone number transfer include:
- Contractual obligations with your current provider
- Features associated with services such as DSL, Transfer Freeze, Distinctive Ring, Ring Master or ISDN , or CENTREX-related features
- Pending changes associated with the phone number being transferred
- The phone number is a virtual phone number
If your broadband Internet connection for ACN Digital Phone Service uses a DSL line, you cannot transfer or disconnect that telephone line. ACN Digital Phone Service can only work with a broadband Internet connection.
Remember, you can always transfer your telephone number later if you want to try out ACN Digital Phone Service first. Log in to your online account and select the Features and Services – Add Ons link and follow the process to transfer your existing telephone number.
How Long Does it Take?
The process to transfer a phone number can take 2 - 4 weeks from the time you confirm your transfer request.
During the sign-up process, you will be asked to provide
a Digital Signature to initiate the phone number transfer request.
Failure to provide a signature can result in your order not
being processed. Also, the number transfer cannot be stopped
once processing has started.
Please note that your account will not be active until your phone number transfer is complete.
