Enhanced and Basic 911

ACN Digital Phone Service supports both E911 (enhanced 911) and Basic 911.  In areas where E911 is not available; we provide Basic 911 service. We will notify you of which type of 911 service you have during the sign-up process, then we'll follow up with a confirmation e-mail to your message inbox upon completion of your order.

With E911 service, when you dial 911, your telephone number and registered address is sent to the local emergency center assigned to your location, and emergency operators have access to the information they need to send help and call you back if necessary.

With basic 911, the local emergency operator answering the call will not have your call back number or your exact location, so you will need to provide this information. Until you give the operator your phone number, they  may not be able to call you back or dispatch help if the call is not completed or is not forwarded, is dropped or disconnected, or if you are unable to speak.

Please note that in the event of a broadband or power outage, your Digital Phone Service will not work and therefore 911 Dialing service will not work as well.

Please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

ACN Family Plans

Use ACN Family Plan lines as a low-cost way to keep in touch with the people you call the most. Order them with a new account or add a line through your Online Account Management. All Family Plan lines require a Video Phone. Project conversations to a larger screen

Connect ACN's Video Phone to your television, and bring the entire room into the conversation.

How It Works

To send your Video Phone's video and audio to a larger screen:

  • Plug a composite video + audio cable into the Video and Audio Out ports on the back of your phone. Plug the other end into the Video and Audio in ports on your external screen.
  • Select Options/Use External Video Display on the Home screen.
  • Answer Yes to the pop-up questions: Do you want to use external video

To return your video and audio to the phone, select Options/Use Local Video Display on the Home screen.

Digital Photo Frame

Your Video Phone also acts as a Digital Photo Frame! Download photos of your recent vacation or the grand kids, and watch them scroll when the phone is not in use.

How It Works

The Digital Photo Frame feature enables you to copy photos between your phone and a USB device. You can also create albums for your photos and configure a slide show to display photos on your phone.

Loading Images:

  • Insert USB flash drive into the USB port on the back of the phone. A pop-up window will display.
  • Select "Copy Images To Phone" and press "OK." A screen displays showing all the images on the USB drive.
  • Press "OK" to select the images you want to copy over.
  • When you are finished selecting images, choose "Copy." The images will appear in your Local Pictures.

After inserting the flash drive, you can also choose to "Make USB Images My Local Slide show." This option automatically copies the pictures from the USB to the phone and configures the phone to use the images from the USB as the Slide show.  When the message "Copy complete" is presented, remove the USB.

If you choose "Add USB Images My Local Slide show," your USB pictures will automatically be copied to the phone and added to the current Slide show.  When the message "Copy complete" is presented, remove the USB.

To Play a Slide show:

From the Home screen, select Options/Play Slide show. You can also play a slide show directly from a USB flash drive. Insert the drive into the back on the phone and select "Play Slide show from USB" from the pop-up menu.

Video Mail and Messages

Get creative! Record a video greeting that other Video Phone callers see when you're unavailable to answer your Video Phone.

How It Works

To leave a video greeting for callers when you're unavailable:

  • Press the voice mail button (Right Soft Key)
  • Enter your 4-digit access code (default is 1234) and press #
  • Press 2 to set up a Busy Greeting
  • Press 5 to Compose and send a new video message
  • After the tone, leave your video message. Pay attention to the Self-View box to ensure you are aligned properly for your message.
3-Way Video Conferencing

Bring more people into the conversation with Video Conferencing, allowing you to call two other people and see everyone on the screen. Standard audio conferencing is also available when all parties don't have a Video Phone.

How It Works

A three-way video conference call is exclusively available to IRIS V users. It's easy to use this feature:

  • Call the first party
  • Press the conference button
  • Enter the number of the third party and press dial
  • When the third party answers, press the conference button again

You will be able to see all callers on your screen!

When using Video Conferencing, remember the following:

  • All three parties must be using an IRIS V during the call.
  • It can take up to three minutes for audio and video synchronization to fully tune.
  • The person who is originating the video conference should set their Internet connection speed to low bandwidth to ensure the clearest connection among the three phones.
    • You can check your bandwidth setting, by going to the Settings menu, selecting Network and setting your Bandwidth to Low.

  • The transfer cannot be stopped once processing has started
  • Your account will activate once your new temporary number has been assigned

You will receive a temporary phone number to use while your existing number is being transferred so you can begin to use your ACN Digital Phone Service right away! Speed Dial

Save time with single-digit dialing! Dial the people you call most with just the touch of a button instead of the complete number. Set up to eight speed dial numbers, plus customize and manage your numbers right on your phone.

How It Works

To program a phone number, dial *74, followed by the one-digit number (choose from 2-9) you want to assign as one of your eight speed dial choices, followed by the telephone number you want to associate with that speed dial, followed by the # key on your phone. A message announces the success of the operation. When you want to call the person, simply dial the single digit instead of the entire phone number.

Faxing Capabilities

Plug your fax machine into your Phone Adapter and send and receive faxes anywhere in North America (excludes Hawaii and Puerto Rico).

Note:  Digital Phone Service with Video Phone does not support faxing.

How It Works

Instead of plugging your fax line into a telephone outlet, plug it into the Phone 1 port of your Phone Adapter. Send your fax as normal.

Only have an Internet connection in your home office but want to use your Video Phone in your kitchen? No problem! Plug one Video Phone Link into the Internet connection in your home office, plug the second Video Phone Link into an outlet in your kitchen, connect your Video Phone and you're ready to go!

Caller ID Block

Don't want the person you're calling to know your number? Block it! You can block Caller ID when you pick up the phone to make the call.

How it works

How It Works

Just dial *77 from your ACN Digital Phone Service phone. To turn it off, dial *87.

Do Not Disturb

With Do Not Disturb, you can relax - all incoming calls will be blocked, going straight to Voice Mail. Your callers will simply hear a message saying you aren't accepting calls at this time. Plus, it won't affect your outgoing calls.

How It Works

When you don't want to be interrupted, just dial *78 from your ACN Digital Phone Service phone. To turn it off, dial *79.

Three Way Calling

Need to add a third person to your phone conversation? No problem! There's no need to hang up, dial another number, speak to that person, and then return the original call.

How It Works

During the call, press the flash button or switch hook. When you hear a dial tone, dial the phone number. After the party answers, just press that flash button or switch hook again and talk to two friends at once! If one person needs to go, all they have to do is hang up. You'll still be on the line with your other friend.
